Mr. Whittaker is a successful legal professional with multiple years in client advocacy. Prior to working in the renewable energy sector, he worked for a firm which specializes in assisting those filing for Social Security Disability benefits, and within his first year was recognized as a top advisor. His role with Renewables Worldwide began when he joined our team as an energy advisor in 2017, and he quickly proved that his strategic thinking, work ethic, and legal knowledge would be an asset to the organization. Shortly after coming on board he realized a that necessary bill, which was working its way through the NH legislative process, was being severely misinterpreted and at risk of not passing. He took it upon himself to attend several public hearings, and proceeded to write a legal memo addressing the individual concerns of each member of the hearing committee. This memo was referenced immediately before the bill received a unanimous consent vote and was signed into law, thus making NH a viable state for Community Solar projects. Mr. Whittaker has since taken on the role of Chief Strategy Officer and Policy Analyst. He oversees the strategic implementation of new projects and partnership opportunities, often researching the underlying legislation in each state Renewables Worldwide offers its services. Mr. Whittaker completed an internship with the NH Department of Justice, spending significant time in the Environmental Law division. He then graduated Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University, specializing in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology. He has subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law. In his off hours he can often be found snowboarding, riding his Harley-Davidson, or spending quality time with his dog “Dudley” and his cat “Eleven”.
